The Resort...
Val d'Isere is the crème de la crème and one of the finest skiing areas in the world. The village nestles deep in the Isere valley surrounded by towering peaks that reach over 3300m. Cosmopolitan and chic, Val has an atmosphere all of its own with designer shops and boutiques, restaurants nightclubs and bars - there is plenty of choice on and off the slopes.
The Skiing...
Is endless! There is so much choice that its impossible to ski in one visit; perhaps its why so many return again and again. The skiing extends from La Daille to Le Fornet in four bowls where there is plenty of choice. A free bus service operates in the village. If this isn't enough for you then factor in the skiing at Tignes and the end result is over 300km pistes and 90 lifts! The resort regularly hosts the World Cup races and in 2009 is the venue for the World Championships. With its height and location the resort is snow sure and the season is long. All in all there are 20 green, 60 blue, 35 red and 16 black runs to satisfy the aspirations of most skiers.
Your Accommodation .
We have selected accommodation at different ends of the spectrum. La Savoyarde 3* is located at the foot of the slopes and close to the village centre, just off the main street. It's been a family run hotel for four generations and offers very spacious rooms, a fine restaurant, a cosy bar with a fireplace and fitness centre. There is also a sauna and jacuzzi.
Residence Les Haut du Rogoney is located at the quiet end of the town at the bottom of the slopes. Conditions permitting its possible to ski-out, ski-in . The apartments which can accommodate up to 8 persons are well equipped with fridge, oven, hot-plates,washing machine in larger units, bathroom and separate toilet. Most will have a balcony or terrace.
A security deposit will be payable on arrival. A recent addition for Inspired Travel is accommodation at Chalets du Jardin Alpin self catering apartments at the foot of Solaise and with ski-out, ski-in conditions permitting.
