Tailor Made Walking Holidays Burgundy

Wine, walking and some of the most beautiful and historic countryside in France… it doesn’t get better than this

In the Burgundy region...
Burgundy's greatest period was during the XVth century when it was probably one of the richest regions of Europe. Much of the art and architecture from that period survives today. Beaune is the centre of the wine-making industry at the heart of the prestigious vineyards of the Cotes de Beaune and Cotes de Nuits. It's a fertile landscape waiting to be explored; rich in history, tiny villages, millhouses, flamboyant chateaux and parish churches. Perhaps it’s only fair to add that the area is best known for its vineyards which produce some of the best wines in France.

So what better than to walk through it, taking in the best of the air, the land, water and the wine? Breathe in the history and explore this wonderful region. Where to start and where to go are the questions that put many off. That’s why InspiredTravel.net has utilised the expertise, experience and enthusiasm of its Francophile team to do the hard work first. We’ve identified routes and itineraries, stop-off points and accommodation, and key historic sites to create tailor-made walking holidays in Burgundy. We’ve done the hard work so you don’t have to. Apart from the walking, of course.
