The resort
The village is located at the foot of the Ortles-Cevedale range
at a height of 1738m and is part of the Stelvio National Park.
Its beginnings were as a rural spa town which began to evolve
into a ski resort during the 1960's with the construction of the
first lift. Surrounded by pine forests, the village is mainly
traffic free.
The skiing
Santa Caterina has been described as a "skiers
paradise" where sun snow and fun are the order
of the day. The area offers a mixture of sunny
skiing above the tree line and exhilarating pistes
through the forests back to the village. From
December to April there is reliable snow. For
beginner skiers the nursery slopes are well
organised with a dedicated hand tow and both
intermediates and advanced will enjoy the reds
and blacks on a series of long runs to the resort.
New lifts have been planned to link with Monte
Sorbetta extending the area and reaching over
3000m

Your accommodation
Our 3* hotel offers a good standard of
service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
It is located in a sunny position in the
centre of the village, just a short distance
from the slopes.
The hotel has 45 bedrooms al with T V telephone and en-suite facilities. The restaurant provides a high standard of cuisine that includes both international dishes and food typical of the area. The public areas of the hotel include a bar, TV room, lounge with open fire, sun terrace and video games.
Apres ski
There is a range of additional activities that could include floodlit skiing,
ice skating, tobogganing, horse drawn sleigh rides, disco together with
a visit to Bormio a short distance away.
