ITALY: Piancavallo - on a sunny plateau in the Eastern Alps
The resort
Piancavallo is a well known resort located on a sunny plateau in the southern ranges of
the Eastern Alps. It was developed 20 years ago and has been thoughtfully and tastefully
designed with ski in -ski out accessibility. The village is mostly pedestrianised with a
large covered shopping area and a new sports and games hall. It is well connected by
road rail and air, making it easy to reach.

The skiing
The ski area radiates from the village centre with well maintained pistes that offer a
combination of runs above the tree line or through pine clad forests back to the village.
Whilst being a relatively small ski area the lift system is well integrated so that it's
possible to combine pistes for more variety. The skiing is excellent for beginners
with a selection of green and blue runs that ensure good progression under the
watchful eye of the instructors. Intermediate and more
advanced skiers will enjoy the higher slopes above the village.
The accommodation
Our chalet style 3* hotel has the best location in the village!
It is just 200m from the nursery slopes, lifts and ski school
meeting point, yet is in the heart of the village. It offers
spacious public areas including a large restaurant, bar, TV
lounge, games room, meeting room and disco. All rooms have
en-suite facilities and can sleep 4-5 comfortably.
Apres ski
There is a selection of activities that may be included in
your itinerary: curling, ice skating, bowling (Aviano), pizza
pizza evening and a quiz.
