There are skiing holidays in France and then there are skiing holidays that actually feel French. Welcome to Les Saisies, Mont Blanc. We first came across Les Saisies on a summer tour when our driver enthused over it. He wasn't wrong and we think it's a little gem! Largely purpose built but without the large holiday apartment blocks, the village of Les Saisies came to prominence as the site for the cross country and biathlon events for the Winter Olympics of 1992 based around Mont Blanc. Les Saisies offers shops, bars and restaurants and, unlike many modern skiing holiday resorts, has an ambience that is pure Mont Blanc and pure France!
