The Skiing
This resort really does have something for everyone! The efficient lift system, serving over 220km pistes ensures that Alpe d'Huez is rightly acclaimed to be one of the best resorts in France. For beginners there are numerous runs to resort to allow for quick progress. Above the nursery slopes, 80 lifts access runs for all abilities, mainly above the tree line, and higher still the gondola goes to yet another intermediate area. For the advanced skier, the Pic Blanc glacier offers challenging runs including the 16km black, la Sarenne which winds through the gorge of the same name. For snowboarders Alpe d'Huez is a recognised premier resort with fun park, permanent half pipe bordercross. The sunshine record is excellent and the resort is virtually snow sure - a perfect choice for early and late season holidays.
The Apres Ski.
As is befitting for a resort with the reputation of Alpe d'Huez, the apres ski posibliities are wide ranging. Choose from a selection to include: Indoor swimming pool, outdoor pool (day time),no shorts allowed, Ice skating on an olympic sized rink, open air trampolining (full safety equipment), bowling, curling, floodlit skiing, tobogganing or parapunting. There are numerous bars and restaurants.

Your Accommodation.
We have a selection of accommodation within the resort. All our locations are close to the slopes and its possible to ski or board back to them, conditions permitting. For those who like to self cater there is the Residence Christiania just a few miinutes walk from the centre and close lifts and ski school. Our 2* accommodation is at the Alpe Azur which offers B&B or half board accommodation in newly refurbished rooms. It is possible to ski back to the store room most of the season and the "bucket lift" and drag lifts are next door. For those who are looking for 3* accommdation the Pic Brun offers spacious and comfortable rooms on a HB basis a short walk from the centre. We are also able to offer self catering accommodation at the Chistiania, close to the Marmottes lift.
